Specially fabricated 32 tooth, alloy rear sprockets to raise gearing on XLC300 models fitted as standard with 36 tooth items.
These sprockets have 4 mounting holes and a "recess" on one side measuring just over 120mm diameter x 2mm deep.
Centre bore size is 78mm.
They are a "flat" sprocket, not the "dished" type as used on the old-style 32 tooth "conversion" kits for the early 170 / 250 SMC models.
Using these sprockets raises the overall gearing of the XLC300 to give a higher potential top speed , combined with more relaxed cruising at lower engine rpm (or to compensate for the gearing alteration caused by fitting low-profile tyres).
Typical top-speed increase is 8mph to 10mph.
